Opened by Chef Will Meyrick — who is also behind the famous, Sarong Restaurant at Petitenget — MAMA San is an user-trendy restaurant, which serves Asian-inspired dishes. It is one of the most hyped about restaurants in Bali. MAMA San has two concepts: Upstairs – a chic lounge where the cool crowd goes for drinks and food, and Downstairs – an intimate and sexy dining room.

Opened for just the past 2 years now, Potato Head Beach Club is definitely where the cool people are hanging out. This place has been reviewed as a must see destination in the island. One of the most exciting place to hang out in Petitenget area, the exterior was made from more than 60.000 used traditional windows from all around of Java Island, the lighting made that exterior perfect. A must do when holidaying in Bali even if its just for a drink and to take in the atmosphere! Dinner is delish and good service from their great staff.

One of the most obvious and popular Indonesian joints along Raya Seminyak is red-signed Warung Ocha on the corner of Jalan Plawa. Warung Ocha does a huge range of a la carte Western food — pastas, salads, sambos, seafood, burgers and so on — as well as point-and-pick and a la carte Indonesian dishes. This is a great place to stop during a shopping stint! Great value for money and excellent food! Casual dining at it’s Bali-best!

on Jalan Uluwatu Jimbaran restaurant serves one of the best food chicken rice in Bali. This place provides you spicy mixed chicken rice in Balinese style and to be honest the taste never fail us. If you are a spicy food lover, u should try this place.

This place has been around since the mid-’60s. The specialty of the house is “torn fried chicken” (ayam goring suir). Owner Ibu Mangku’s sambal is so spicy you might refry that chicken in your mouth if you aren’t careful. Have plenty of steaming white rice and cold Bintang to soothe the senses

Bebek Bengil means the Dirty Duck Diner, and the Anglicized name is used by and tourists alike. It is difficult to imagine a more beautiful, relaxed place to savor Bali’s most famous dish, bebek tutu (smoked duck). The whole menu here is almost entirely dedicated to the humble duck – crispy fried duck, duck in chili sauce, duck fried rice. The view is amazing, surrounded by paddy field. We think it’s safe to say that Bebek Bengil is one of a must-visit-restaurant in Bali.

This place is continually become our favorite place to go for a sunset drinks. The Vanilla & Passion fruit mojitos are to die for (amongst other cocktails). The service is top notch and they’re always professional. You can either relax on a lounge, sit casually at the bar or book a beautiful table for dinner. Still the best beachfront restaurant in Seminyak to enjoy a dozen of fresh oysters and a chilled bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. This place is one of huge winners in our lists.

When going to Bali you should definitely try and enjoy the cuisine. Warung Biku is one of the nicest “Warungs” in Seminyak offering great food in a setting typical for Indonesia. Warung Biku used to be an antique store but was transformed into a Warung with still some traces of antique.

Warung Biku is loved for it’s informal but still stylish setting and the great food. You will find a lot of typical dishes here but you don’t need to worry the chili or sambal makes it too spicy. Since this is simply one of the best places to enjoy food the place is always quite busy.

This terrific restaurant sits in the heart of Jl Laksmana Oberoi and provides a very comfortable if not quirky environment. Service is swift (by Bali standards) and the food is tasty. The cuisine is French-meets-East, with steak frites, dim sum, sashimi, and spring rolls.

Metis is a French Mediterranean Restaurant in Jalan Petitenget Bali and is absolutely gorgeous surrounded by incredible landscaping and an open dining area that overlooks a serene rice patty giving off a laid back and classy vibe. It is the kind of place where you bring your date to impress, and a sure way to sweep her off her feet. In this place you will loose yourself in the ambience. The food in Metis is great, the lava chocolate cake is to die for, trust us on this, it is not something you will find in other restaurant.

Ranked as the #1 restaurant in Seminyak area by Trip Advisor, Sarong would have to be one of our favorite restaurants of all time. From the moment you step in to the open-air restaurant, the chilled out music and the romantic atmosphere whisks you away to a different world. The food is exceptional, the founders originated from Longrain, so amazing Asian fusion. It is true Asian food but with a twist. Drinks are great – strongly recommend the Polish Donkey and Coconut Mojito, it’s a must!

Located in the junction of Petitenget beach, this restaurant has a lovely atmosphere of dining and good ambience. Lovely restaurant with fabulous food. Many people are in love with their salads, especially the duck salad, the feta salad and the salad specials. They are amazing value for money, generous in portion and absolutely delicious. The food at Petitenget can never be faulted. Always delicious and with tastes that you always want to try a re-create once you are back home.

This happening beachside restaurant – looks out onto one of the prettiest stretches of Seminyak beach. La Lucciola is a two storey with open space and thatch roofed building. Head for the upstairs section for a nice breeze is inevitable. The large bamboo completes the laid back and relaxed ambiance that the place has to offer. La Lucciola not just excellent for lunch but perfect for dinner as well. The service, and the food are both superb and the way the tables are placed it is almost as though you are the only ones in the restaurant, even though it’s fully booked. The food is high standard Italian food with a twist. Make sure you get there for a sunset and enjoy the view because they say your visit to Bali incomplete without a visit to La Lucciola.

Motel Mexicola is a colourful and quirky Mexican bar and restaurant down Jalan Kayujati. It’s just a minutes’ walk from La Lucciola and Petitenget temple. One of the newest bars and restaurants in Seminyak, this place is an ambitious, creative, fun Mexican restaurant that offers delicious food such as Guacamole, Empanadas, Ceviche in imaginative surrounds. As soon as you walk in you feel like you are on another planet. It’s bold and it’s bright and you can’t miss it from the street, so make sure you go!

Deus Ex Machina, aka ‘The Temple of Enthusiasm’, has a little bit of this, a little bit of that, and a lot of rock ‘n roll. Located on a quiet road among the rice paddies in Canggu, Deus is an afternoon outing in and of itself. Try the banana and roast almond pancake in their breakfast menu, it is recommended. They also make good coffee. But we have to remind you that this is not your average café. This place has its own character. As they say, Deus makes motorcycles, Deus makes surfboards, Deus makes coffee, Deus loves music. Deus makes things happen. Just get there and you’ll understand.

Ginger Moon is rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the best restaurants in Seminyak. This place is a relaxed, casual, modern Asian eatery spread over 2 levels, serving up seriously tasty fare. Relaxed music and pleasant chatting are filling the space. The décor is elegant, but relaxed, with lots of deep reds to spur your appetite. Try the Ginger Moon’s best seller – the Peking Duck. It is served in juicy chunks with prune sauce and roll it yourself rice wraps. It is a must on your menu. Most dishes are recommended for sharing and they also have a good range of drinks.

Sea Circus is an odd name. But it’s a really good restaurant, bar & coffee den thingy, in Seminyak. A very cool place with charm and humor and is at the top of mind when people ask us where to have brunch. Their ricotta pancakes, the salads, and the healthy smoothies are gorgeous. The coffee is fresh and made with love. This is not an upmarket restaurant but a really good cafe.

So where do you find the best Babi Guling in Bali? Ibu Oka in Ubud is the place that foodies congregate to chow down on the best pork ever according to Jamie Oliver & Rick Stein. It definitely won’t break the bank as it’s under $5 for a plate of their succulent suckling pig with some rice. You have to get there early in busy periods as they do run out in the afternoon.

With garden and air con settings and intimate dining area in the rear section Ultimo provides a pretty decent Italian food at reasonable prices. A 200g tenderloin is available for Rp 66,000. The prices range from Rp 52,000 a simple Chicken Schnitzel to Rp 135,000 for Wagyu beef. Good wine and drink selection as well. The overall package and value is great. Booked your table in advanced is recommended since this place is crowded every night.

Bali’s best day out – Finn’s Beach Club offers something for everyone! If you’ve got beach and lux on the mind, Finn’s Beach Club, might fit the bill. Food isn’t too cheap, it’s medium price range, but it’s big on quality, so you are definitely getting what you pay for; anywhere else in the world you’d be paying quite a bit more. Think wood-fired pizzas, simple pastas and light fare, with a full bar and range of non-alcoholic drinks on offer as well. This place is another dramatic descent down the cliffs of Bali that you can’t miss.

What’s not to like about the Hard Rock Cafe? Hard Rock Cafe offering classic American food and it boasts a beachfront location on Kuta Beach. The décor is relaxing. The interior just makes you stay. Cool, air-conditioned and comfy seats. The staffs are enthusiastic. The band is great. Food standard as per Hard Rock – large portions and decent variety. Food is very yummy and fresh. Try their burger and nachos. No place in Bali can beat them. It is a good place to catch up with friends. If you want to spend a fun night, have a bite or a drink there!
