Features 159 rooms, Swiss Belhotel Pondok Indah is the spanking new four-star hotel at Pondok Indah, the luxury residential in South Jakarta. The hotel belongs to an international chain with over 125 hotels worldwide and I stayed here two nights.
I arrived a couple of hours earlier than the official check-in time, but was checked in right away since the room was available. The bellhop immediately took care of my luggage and it was brought to my room straight away.
The hotel registration counters greets you when you step in through the main entrance. The decor screams contemporary chic which I can’t resist.

After checking-in, I spent a halfday at my One Bed Room Suite room and only left the room for my dinner at The Swiss Café which offers international and local dishes, serving both buffet and a la carte menu options.
When choosing a hotel, other than the location and food, what matters most to me is the comfort and design of the room that I will be staying in. (Don’t you just hate small rooms with no walking spaces?)
The rooms at Swiss-Belhotel Pondok Indah are contemporary and cosy. The room was still new and looks very modern, which is the plus point of this hotel.I was glad the bed is very comfortable. It has a fluffy bed with 4 big pillows. These are some of the best pillows I’ve had among all my hotel stays. I slept soundly in the 2 nights I was there.
The complimentary WiFi was fast, and didn’t require the usual annoying alphanumeric password. You just need to enter your room number, your last name, and voila!
Bathrooms are well-appointed and clean and has nice fittings with complete and good toiletries

In the room, there’s two LCD TV, FREE WiFi, writing desk, coffee and tea-making facility, electronic safe, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers

I love dining at the Swiss Cafe because of its ambiance. It faces the swimming pool, so it’s very relaxing. I really enjoyed dining here. Really love the atmosphere!
I had a Fried Duck for my dinner, and the executive chef in this hotel really nailed it on the duck. Done to perfection. Well done chef!! I ate this duck 4 times during my stay..Thanks to the chef I gained 2 kilos while i stayed there..pfffttt…
The next morning, I had my breakfast at the hotel before my swimming session in the pool. It’s a decent spread for breakfast at Swiss Cafe, with both Western and Asian choices. Live stations for waffles, noodles and eggs are at the other end. The food were tasty and the variety of food was awesome.
Omelet, sausage, fruits and coffee for breakfast? Win.
The cafe which is also at the hotel lobby gives off a relaxing vibe and is great for hanging out with friends/family or entertaining business partners.

In my opinion, Swiss Belhotel Pondok Indah successfully blends the comfort and security of a hotel, the cozy and relaxed ambience of a resort, and the personalized service of a bed and breakfast.
