Maca Villas – Hidden Paradise

With plenty of accommodation options available for international travelers in Bali, I personally think that Maca Villas & Spa Bali is a wise choice for those seeking the best. Maca Villas and Spa is located in Seminyak, steps from Petitenget Beach and a 5-minute walk from Bali’s famous shopping and entertainment options. Featuring luxurious villas with private pools, and it has a main pool and restaurant.

Upon arrival at Maca Villas, I was courteously greeted by the security guard. The lobby has an interesting layout as it is technically open-air, with no doors, but tastefully designed. I don’t know why, but as soon as I parked my car in the parking lot, I already had a good feeling about this place. When I put my bags in the lobby area, the receptionist had a massive friendly grin on her face and asked for our names for check in process. Gosh, it feel like I already know her for ages. She’s so friendly and kind.

While I was waiting for my room, I was welcomed with a refreshing drink (which tasted like a non-alcoholic mojito) and it tasted super good.

Stylish and inspired by a tropical village concept, in Maca Villas & Spa Bali you will find 25 pool villas in a lush landscape, offering total privacy and seamless indoor & outdoor living spaces to capture cool ocean breezes and an abundance of natural sunlight.

Then I was led to my villa: the pathway was littered with pebble stones and tiles in-between, with a fountain/small pond along the way. They definitely had the whole lush tropical setting going on, which was nice.

I stayed in a one-bedroom pool villa. And when the butler opened the massive wooden front entrance door, I was greeted with this view:

Encompassed within a contemporary Balinese compound, my private one bed-room villa with its high ceilings, organic materials, customized furnishings, and Bali-inspired pieces of contemporary artistry, I think will serve as a great home-away-from-home for my time on the island.

To be honest I was quite ecstatic – I ended screaming around like a little girl. (If you know what I mean). But seriously, with easy access to the beach, Seminyak’s fashionable boutiques, smart cafes, and after-dark hot spots, I couldn’t ask for a better location.

And Yes, if you haven’t noticed: The bedroom faces the pool and those doors do open!

The villa features wood interiors, spacious space include pool decks and indoor and outdoor living areas. Each villa has a flat-screen TV, iPod dock and DVD player. The bathroom has a free-standing tub and a double vanity sink. (and even a TV in the bathroom). And I must rave about the amenities provided – I am like an amenities CIA and will judge a place based on what is provided and the frequency of amenities replenishment. Just look at the pictures below and you know what I’m talking about.

After checking out the villa and chilling for a little while, it was time to truly unwind. I was invited to visit their spa and chose from a meticulously crafted menu of Asian-inspired body and beauty rituals – embarking on a journey towards personal rejuvenation. But to be honest I’ve gotten so comfortable in my space that I didn’t want to leave, so they said that all the treatments I chose are also available in my private villa by the highly trained therapists, using natural products. Hahaha..how’s good is that..I’m such a lucky girl..wohoooooo…

After enjoying my spa and chilling for a little while, it was time for dinner. I head to MASE Kitchen and Bar straight away because I was so starving. And for any wine lovers, (and just for your info, I’m a wine fanatics), this restaurant does have quite a large range of wines. (and I feel like I’m in heaven at that night..gosh they have hundreds of wine options!!) But if you’re not a wine lovers, don’t worry; there are plenty of other options in the drinks menu.

However, the Masé Kitchen & Wine Bar is a beautiful fine dining venue with an impressive wine collection and good food.

The next morning, I have to admit that I was bloody well pampered for breakfast. But before the breakfast started and I explained about how good it was, please excuse myself from doing a morning jump to the swimming pool right from my bed room..Yaaayyy!!

I really love the breakfast menu that you can fill out with a diverse range of options as well as delivery methods, for example, loving your privacy in your home away from home? Have it delivered, at the time you choose! Want to instead enjoy it at the restaurant? Well, you can!
