Sudamala Suites & Villa Senggigi – Lombok

Directly located at the beautiful Mangsit Beach – approximately 5 minutes away from Senggigi, Lombok’s tourism epicenter – you can find the Sudamala Suites & Villa Senggigi. The location of the resort and the accommodations could hardly be better: a little bit outside of the tourism center but yet directly at an isolated beach. And the private luxury villas are even located on a hill with a breathtaking view. It looks like a dream, a perfect location for a romantic luxury getaway for me.

Sudamala Suites & Villa Senggigi was perfect for the type of vacation I desired to have in January after a hectic month in December. All I wanted to do was to play, relax and rest. I did not want to have any schedule or planning. I just want a low-key vacation, and this place is perfect for me.

There are rooms with a garden, full and partial ocean view. Obviously, I would recommend the rooms with an ocean view. The other rooms are nestled in a beautiful and well-kept garden. I stayed for 1 night and in that time I could not find one fault with the resort. Its in a beautiful location right on the beach. All amenities were clean and maintained to a high standard throughout the resort.

I stayed in an Ocean View Suite, which was just gorgeous. The room is equipped with TV, WiFi, AC, a super cozy and large bed, minibar, safe, hairdryer, water boiler, telephone and much more. The bedroom is a good size, with sliding doors leading into the wardrobe/bathroom area and another set of sliding doors to the outdoor bathroom- deep bath, toilet and shower. The bathroom was particularly special. A choice of indoor or outdoor shower and really generously proportioned rooms.

The bed was huge!, Really, really comfortable, really nice linen, great pillows. There was a couch and a desk/chair so lots of places to sit.

The pool was lovely, lots of sunbeds, lots of towels, super clean. The water temperature is cool but not cold, refreshing and clean. The deck on the beach is fantastic- there are tables and chairs but also lounges with coffee tables that really maximized the view over the ocean- super comfortable, Great outlook- Great sunsets!! The lounges were set up on beach sand next to the decking- really good set up.

The Olah Olah semi open-air restaurant is located directly at the beach and when the weather conditions are good enough, you can even have a wonderful view on the volcano Gunung Agung on Bali. I Enjoyed many meals in the Olah Olah Restaurant and I simply loved it. I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in this restaurant. I was offered a Lombok meal – Begibung Dinner – which was standout (Little things like asking if we had any allergies/requests was impressive too).

Breakfast were seriously impressive- both in quality and and quantity- Great yoghurt!! Great juices- orange/carrot/ginger was seriously good! You order breakfast a la carte, which is great because you do not waste food and you get to eat while looking at the ocean.

Overall, Sudamala Suites & Villa Senggigi is a beautiful hotel and this place took my breath away. It was the hotel that convinced me to come to Lombok and it really exceeded my expectations. Brilliant location- close to Sengiggi if you want to go eat out, great beach to walk on, nice little cliff to climb up to. Brilliant staff. Brilliant hotel. Brilliant, brilliant special occasion stay!
