Villa Berawa Bali – A Gem in Canggu

Indonesia is very well-known with its culture and uniqueness, with the addition of the warmth hospitality from its peoples from all of the corner of the island. Villa Berawa comes as such an authentic and welcoming change to all the modern resorts and Villas on Bali of today, and one that now stands out, with its comforting Villas designed in and around Joglos ( traditional Javanese wooden structure), crafted with artistic handmade soft furnishings and other sustainable authentic materials.

Berawa Villa is located near the Berawa Beach, a beautiful beach with white sand stretch from Seminyak Beach with panoramic view to the Indian Ocean. This beach is the most enthused by the surfers because the great wave, powerful and challenge every surfer to conquer it and enjoy the surfing adventures.

I had a chance to stay for one night in Villa Berawa and to be honest I truly enjoyed it. Not only are the villas and pool beautiful but the staff and service are fantastic. And I found the villa was beautifully landscaped and kept very clean all the time. And it was absolutely amazing. It is like a diamond in the rough. The management team, Timothius, Widya and her staff treated us with such respect and couldn’t do enough for us.

Arriving at the Villa room, we found absolute luxury. We were greeted by our butler and served fresh welcome drink and chilled refreshment towels. We were then given a tour and explanation of our villa by our host whilst the butler put away our luggage accordingly.

The room was much bigger than I expected – it was big, clean with lots of character attention to detail in the Villa and have the feel of a home away from home, yet keeping with the tradition of Indonesian architecture. Bedroom was very comfortable with ensuites, flat screen tv’s, comfortable bed with mosquito nets, air con and couches. Superb outdoor living area containing lounge suite, iPod dock, dining area, kitchen facilities (excellent for rustling up late-night snacks) and overlooking the sparkling clean swimming pool, what a place to relax.

The villa is also equipped with a newly constructed fitness centre. The fitness centre is excellent, perfect for staying in shape while you’re in a holiday!

One of the facility that they offer is “free bike” for the guest to use. And in my opinion, the bikes are really a fun way to ‘hop’ from beach to beach in Canggu area.

We enjoyed the breakfast that can be served at our villa in the morning. Breakfast was nice but simple, such as coffee/tea, fruit juice, fruits and Bali/western style breakfast of your choice. However the wonderful service and big smiles upon delivery of it, was just a great way to start the day. The villa also provides free afternoon tea everyday for all guests.

If you’re planning not to do a lot of sightseeing, 

Villa Berawa is perfect place to stay if you are looking for a quiet getaway near the beach. So if you just wanted to blob.. have your own space and take trips out, this is idyllic.. A great place to unplug & relax.

There were two of us staying there and I think I speak for both of us, when I say, we would definitely  give this place an A!
